Advantis began research and development of remote monitoring and control equipment when the first Low Earth Orbital satellites were launched in 1999. From 1999 to 2004, the R&D took shape as an application for oil and gas monitoring. In 2005 Advantis expanded into the wastewater market.

Advantis designs, manufactures, programs, and hosts its products. This can only be accomplished by keeping the products simple and knowing what to focus on - robust applications as well as 'smart' devices in the field that are easy to program.

Although designed to appear simple to the end user, the programming for all the communications and presentation of that information to the user took years to develop. Further, the market moves and changes rapidly requiring a constant internal rate of change. This capability is what puts Advantis at the cutting edge of the marketplace.
